Live session ahead of the Portugal Tech Week hackathon: an audience app idea is built from scratch to a live URL in under an hour with AI tools.
Portugal Tech Week runs a hackathon all week. Before it starts, we want to settle one question in the room: do you need to be an engineer to build something real? You do not. We will show you. No slides. No prepared demo. You pitch the app, we build it start to finish in under an hour, and you watch every step. From a loose idea to a live URL We take an app idea from the audience and run it through two tools that make a deadly combination: Confabulator takes the loosely formed idea and crystallizes it into the foundational docs: what the app does, who it is for, the data it needs. Then it turns those docs into GitHub issues and creates the repo.
Behalf.bot picks up the issues and builds the front end, back end and database, runs the tests, and ships it to a working URL.
You will see the wrong turns too, and how to get the project back on the rails when the AI does something dumb. That is the part that matters most when you are on your own at 2am during a hackathon. By 11:30 there is a first version of the app: an MVP that does the core thing, live on the internet. Hackathons are not just for engineers anymore If you have a good idea and have always handed the building to someone else, this week is your chance to build it yourself. This session is the on-ramp: the workflow, the tools, and the habits that get a non-engineer from idea to working software. For most people it is also the first step into agentic AI. Bring your laptop if you want to follow along, and your questions about the hackathon project you have in mind. WHERE: The Portugal Tech Week Palace, R. Gomes Freire 98, Lisboa. AGENDA 10:00 Intros and idea pitches from the room 10:10 Live cooking 11:10 Q&A and hackathon unblocking 11:30 Wrap WANT TO GO DEEPER? On 11 to 13 December we run the Agentic AI Mastery Weekend, a three-day crash course at DOMA in Mafra. You build software with these tools, and you also set up Behalf.bot as your own executive assistant and learn to delegate real work to it. Launching a side hustle is the vessel; the skill is building and operating with agents. Six places, applications close 3 December.
